Resilient Tattoo in support of One Oyate

Warriors, guardians, and protectors from all nations who honor and protect Mother Earth and the equality, diversity, and sacred connection that exists between all our oyate, "relations," are invited to receive the Resilient Tattoo - a mark of mana activation, protection, healing, and ancestor guidance designed by Stephanie Big Eagle, creator of the Standing Rock Tattoo and a descendent of the Lakota and Dakota Oyate, Sioux Nation of Indians.

Stephanie Big Eagle, Lakota/Dakota Sioux

We are raising funds to support One Oyate, www.facebook.com/OneOyate, www.oneoyate.org, a movement founded by Stephanie Big Eagle which supports Indigenous and Environmental activism on a global scale, but particularly throughout "Indian country" in the Americas. One Oyate seeks to empower our native communities by restoring and strengthening our cultural practices, sovereignty, languages, treaty rights, environments, and spirituality. We invite all nations to stand beside us as we actively resist colonization, oppression, corporate greed, and cultural and environmental genocide. We are particularly invested in financially supporting the prayer and resistance camps that began after the Standing Rock movement that focus on sustainability, Indigenous rights, and environmental protection.

We were involved heavily with the Standing Rock movement through the Standing Rock Tattoo, which allowed us to donate directly to frontline water protectors and related organizations due to funds raised by the tattoo fundraiser from tattooists and the thousands of people they marked with the Standing Rock Tattoo. Our founder, Stephanie Big Eagle, was on grounds at Standing Rock as a water protector for several months, and helped document the final days of the Oceti Sakowin camp.

Honor the Earth honoring our largest donation from the Standing Rock Tattoo fundraiser, $45,000, to support their efforts at Standing Rock.

We look forward to seeing what we can build together with the Resilient Tattoo, a universal design born from Stephanie's Lakota roots and cultural perspective.

Resilient Tattoo design meaning:
Within the Resilient Tattoo is the medicine wheel which contains the four races of mankind and the four sacred directions. Four eagle feathers at the center of the design offer the guidance of the ancestors and ask the Eagle nation to carry our prayers to Creator. Four arrowheads or obsidian blades also contained within the center of the design protect us from negativity, and deflect the intentions of those who seek to harm us. The diamonds at four points honor the resilience of the warriors and protectors who, like the diamond, were forged from surviving the harshest of conditions and who are now ready to shine their light upon the darkness. The spiral at the center of the Resilient Tattoo honors the never-ending cycle of life, the mana of our souls, the rainbow light born of the relationship between earth, water, air, and sun, and the Fibonacci sequence which is contained within the physical body of all our relations (plant, animal, and human) which is the code of Natural Law and creation. The spiral is the embodiment of the sacred connection that exists between all nations and honors a traditional Lakota prayer "Mitakuye Oyasin," or "All our Relations."

Thank you so much for your support! We would love to see photos of your tattoo uploaded to our community page at www.facebook.com/ResilientTattoo.
