Emma (Rock Em) Going To Olympics

Donation protected
Hello! Emma (Rock Em Sock Em) Hudson has been selected to compete in this year's Junior Olympics. This is an historic event, because this is the first time that roller derby will be included. The event is July 11-14, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it is going to cost considerable money for her to compete (transportation, hotel, uniforms, etc.)

A 12-year-old Emma fell in love with roller derby in 2010 when she saw the movie "Whip It." She dragged her father to watch Pittsburgh's Steel City Roller Derby. In 2013, Pittsburgh started its own junior team and she was one of the first skaters on the team. Since then she has grown in her sport. It has been a large part of her youth. Being one of the 20 members chosen to represent the North East Region of the United States is the culmination of 6 hours a week of training, every week, for three years.

Any gift to help her dream come true would be appreciated and considered a donation through the Pittsburgh Derby Brats, which is a 501(c)(3) and tax deductable.
