Last winter, two brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha at Duke University, Mark Schreiber and Bobby Menges, were diagnosed with cancer. While the entire community was devastated by the news, the fraternity came together and rallied around these two incredible guys. Cancer has taken a toll on so many lives, and Shave for Schreiber, Buzz for Bobby seeks to change that and make a lasting difference.
Shave for Schreiber, Buzz for Bobby is an event that raises money for the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program at Duke Children's Hospital. The event consists of over 60 members of the Duke/Pike community shaving their heads in support of Mark and Bobby's fight. Having raised over $60,000 last year, we hope to continue our efforts in fighting cancer. The goal is to raise $20,000 in one week here at Duke. Let's make that push together.
