For most of the past 35 years, Sons and Daughters In Touch has worked to "locate, unite and support" the Gold Star children who lost their fathers in the War. That work includes:
• Honoring our fathers with Father's Day tributes;
• Chronicling the lives of SDIT members;
• Supporting Vietnam veterans in the healing process;
• Being living examples for all Gold Star families;
As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, SDIT relies on the generosity of its supporters to fulfill this mission.
Since its dedication, "The Wall" has become a universal symbol of healing and inspriation.
Among the most visited sites in Washington, DC, "The Wall" is a universal symbol of healing and inspration, and now contains 58,318 names of American service members lost during the Vietnam War.
