Our Story is simple: 14 guys, 14 SEC Universities, an Applebee's Restaurant, and memories for a lifetime.
Exactly one year ago, August 10, 2014, 14 Michiganders came together at an Applebee's restuarant chain and formed the foundation for the greatest tailgate Hope College has ever seen. We hail from a small D3 private institution, raised by our fathers to root for midwestern universities like UM, MSU, OSU, ND, etc.
HOWEVER, our true colors were uncovered last year. All 14 of us represented a different football team from the Southeastern Conference. We bought hundreds of dollars worth of SEC merchandise, conducted weekly press conferences and interviews, established a scoring system for each member's tailgating performance, and made sure we were in the lawn by 10 AM every Saturday morning. We even took a trip down to Oxford, Mississippi to watch last years' Alabama, Ole Miss game. In essence, all of us were born in the South, and all of us will die in the South...right here in the heart of Holland, MI.
Why We Need Money
We have a dream to go to every SEC venue. Last year was Oxford and it couldn't have been any better: The Grove, College Gameday, and storming the field ... We want more.
