Philippe sails from San Francisco to San Francisco

Hello friends of SF2SF!
I'm embarking on an adventure of a lifetime: circumnavigate Earth on a small sailboat. You can read more about the project here . I've worked hard for the past 30 years to save money for this crazy project, and I still need your support for I've found the perfect boat. I'm short 15% or $25,000 to be able to buy the right boat: safe, sturdy and designed for the high seas.
Financial support is important for sure, but most importantly your gesture will go a long way in creating a positive environment for success. It means a lot to me to know that somewhere people care about this dream.
So why would you donate? Well, there's always the argument that for 5 coffee drinks, you can make a difference for someone else. If you stop by I'll brew you a coffee with fresh ground beans. Then, there's also the argument that happiness is in helping others. If you need translation to French I can offer help. Maybe you have you're own crazy dream and I'm emboldening you to pursue yours. Or you're a sailor and you know how hard it is to scrape the necessary funds for any offshore passage. We all have our own reasons.
To celebrate progress I'll host a few parties over the next 12 months. Once I have the boat, for donors so inclined, I'll have donor appreciation sailing outings in San Francisco Bay.
Here are a few donation suggestions:
1. Deckhand: $25;
2. Crew: $75;
3. Assistant watch leader: $150
4. Watch leader: $250
5. Navigator: $500;
6. Skipper: $750;
7. Captain: $1,000;
8. Admiral: $2,500;
9. Admiral of the fleet: $5,000;
10: Neptune: $25,000.
I look forward to seeing you soon at our next celebration party. Donate today for the next date. And from the bottom of my heart I thank you. Knowing that you're out there and you care makes a ton of difference for me.
