Sanctuary flood recovery, Jax beach

Sanctuary hurricane Matthew recovery The Sanctuary neighborhood in Jacksonville Beach was significantly damaged by flood waters. Many neighbors are overwhelmed from massive damage to their homes and property. There are some who cannot manage physically, financially, and emotionally. Some in our community are ill, elderly, or disabled. Some are single mothers just making ends meet.  They cannot pack salvageable items, haul furniture, or get items to storage and need your help. Our community members are struggling to make mortgage, meet their insurance deductible, or get transportation as cars were ruined. Many do not have working appliances, can't do laundry, or make a meal. There is hardship and neighbors are doing their best. It appears almost two-thirds of the neighborhood has been lost to the flood and electrical fires have broken out. Many cannot afford hotels while their homes are being rebuilt, the hardship is great.

One neighbor told us she has no family or friends nearby and has to work while her home is growing in mildew. She can't afford to take off, and if that isn't enough, she suffers from cancer and has to go in for treatments.

Our neighbors work so hard, but can not do it alone. We need your help. Our neighborhood is your neighborhood, all part of one community experiencing devastation.

Many here are strong community supporters. Always giving back to the community. We we are grateful to have survived the storm. We will be most grateful for your kind and considerate support in our time of need. Thank you.
