Homeless - An Exhibition for Change: Sanga's Dream
Donation protected
Please take a moment to read the story of Sanga’s Dream and understand our vision for how we can end homelessness in the U.K. Funding this campaign will help us to make a real difference to those living on the streets by offering a new form of sustainable communal living space, a place to feel truly valued as a human being.
The Issue
14 million people in the U.K today live in poverty. At least 320,000 are homeless, including over 40,000 single mothers, and more than 800 human beings have died on the streets, without a home, over the past 18 months. The oldest was 94 years old.

The Story
In “Homeless – an exhibition for change” , where this campaign was launched, artivist Daniel K Swan aims to bring people face to face with the inevitable consequence of our modern socio-economic system by sharing the past 4 years of his life spent working to understand and communicate this issue from the inside out, which included living on the streets of London during this past winter.

Above Video: For 15 days before the Exhibition Nuudles had been sleeping in Hyde Park, and when Daniel unexpectedly saw him on the streets just a couple hours before the exhibition's opening Nuudles was still wearing the exact same clothing that he wore 6 months prior, when Daniel first took his photograph.

The campaign name of "Sanga’s Dream" comes from a truly wonderful man that Daniel met during his time on the streets of London. A man who shared his dream to help the homeless and refugees of this world with Daniel before he died.
Less than a month ago, Sanga was one of the many victims of this inexcusable injustice to die on the streets, without a home, simply because we have not yet woken up to solve this problem. Before his death Sanga told Daniel that even though his life was finished he wanted his death to mean something. You can see many interviews with Sanga months before he died on Daniel's website and Youtube channel .
Daniel consulted many people living on the streets and in temporary accommodation as well as staying in some of the best and worst hostels around the world, and with several dedicated volunteers came up with a vision for this communal living space sustained by a creative co-working studio cafe'.

After seeing the existing facilities for serving the homeless from the inside out Daniel was shocked and felt that major change was needed. With years of experience helping people off the streets in America, Daniel understood that solving this issue would take a human approach that made people feel valued, worthwhile and entirely loved.
The Plan
Using beautiful design to build a network of Oxford Houses, High Quality Hostels and Creative Studio Cafes' that use ALL profits to serve humanity, we plan to unlock the power of the people to change this world. Our locations will provide the facilities and funding for communities to shape their own futures, and enable our friends on the street to join us in creating a better world.

Please, if you want to see this dream a reality, support our cause via this Go Fund Me campaign.
How can you help?
Funding this campaign will allow Daniel and the team at Janie's Homeless Friends to continue serving those this world simply leaves to suffer on the streets and will help us make Sanga’s Dream a reality.
We have already achieved a great deal through much personal sacrifice and the dedication of many beautiful volunteers, but have gone as far as we can alone and now need major support from the general public in the form of funding and sharing of this campaign to bring our vision to life.
For more information please review our designs and plans on the links within this page and please contact us with any questions.
Thank you for taking the time to review the page and hopefully, help us to change the world!
