Save Highland Park Elementary School’s Reading Program
The Reading Partners tutoring program at Highland Park Elementary School, southwest Seattle, is facing elimination due to deep budget cuts. We volunteer tutors need to raise $30,000 to keep the program. Fundraising deadline is July 19– (we have been granted a 4 day extension) donations will be refunded if the goal is not met. Please contribute, to benefit students’ future success!
Tutors and students work one-on-one to help students gain the skills to read at grade level. Research shows that when students can read at grade level entering 4th grade, they are 4 times more likely to graduate from high school.
Donations go to the Seattle chapter of Reading Partners, a 501(c)(3) organization, and are tax deductible: http://readingpartners.org/
Thank you for your support! And the kids thank you, too!
