Save Sophie!

My name is Alison Melhouse and I'm asking for help with ongoing veterinary expenses for my Sophie, who is my entire world. She's had major abdominal surgery and is currently hospitalized at California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario, California. About ten days ago Sophie became very sick. She was hospitalized back and forth between Grand Terrace Animal Emergency Clinic and Norco Animal Hospital. She was initially treated for pancreatitis, however, she was just not improving. CVS decided it would be best to do immediate exploratory surgery. When they opened her up her small intestine had already ruptured. She's currently stable but not improving as of yet. They informed me the 5 to 6 days after this type of surgery can be very critical, as sutures could dissolve and reopen the intestines. So she is being monitored around the clock by the wonderful staff at CVS. I have currently maxed out every credit card I have and am not sure how to come up with another form of income to pay for her growing medical expenses. I have always had a hard time asking for help with money, but this is for Sophie. I need her to get better and come back home to me. She is my everything and the closest thing I will ever have to motherhood. It's amazing that a "pit bull" that someone threw away as a baby could bring so much joy and love to my life. So, for her I will beg for help. I would do anything to save her. She is so special and sweet and such a light in this sometimes crazy world. Please help if you can.
