My name is Jasmine Lewis. I am 19 years old, from Texas. I am attending college at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in Los Angeles, California In the fall (October) of 2013. There I will earn my degree in Merchandise Product Development. I have had a love for all things fashion since I was a little girl. To be able to attend a school where there is such a close connection with so many major companies would be amazing! I was accepted over year ago ,but was unable to attend because the cost of tuition. I am very determined to attend this upcoming fall we have been having garage sales, I have been working and saving money, going to local businesses to hand out donation letters, filling out countless scholarships, even donating plasma, but we still have a long ways to go! We have to have to $10,000 to cover the costs of tuition that financial aid didn't cover. My parents work VERY hard to provide for my 3 siblings and I; They are doing everything they can so I will be able to attend; however,providing for a family of 7, paying for college,and plane tickets etc., is going to be extremely hard. All of the donations would be used towards tuition. It means so much to me to be able to attend the college of my dreams and make my dreams come true. I am not going to give up on going to school or going after things that I want in life. I know one day I will be able to say I made it even though it looked like I never would and part of the reason I will be able to say that is because of you. So every penny, dime, and dollar would be not only a huge blessing, but a step closer to helping me make my dreams come. "For I know the plans I have for you," says The Lord. "They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
