As a hearing person, I have taken for granted my access to entertainment in all forms, but especially music, comedy and theater.
A little over five years ago, when as the hip kids say, I got 'woke', I started a journey to highlight the challenges Deaf individuals face when trying to access live entertainment -- and they face a lot of them.
This documentary is to provide awareness, connection and hopefully the exact same access to entertainment for Deaf people as hearing people have had all along.
But I can't do this alone. I need your help.
Your contribution will go toward finishing the editing of the film, captioning, sound engineering, licensing music, and so much more as we prepare to enter the film this September to Sundance for consideration into their 2020 film festival
Will you join me in this endeavor and take part in this dream of mine -- to provide equal and open access to Deaf and HOH individuals and to let comedy and music connect all cultures, no matter our background - Deaf or hearing?
