Wheelchair Access for Spirit Ride!

Have you ever heard of "Equine Therapeutic Riding"? Maybe someone you know - or even you personally - has been lucky enough to experience the magic of Equine Therapy. If so, then you know how important this type of therapy can be for riders with special needs and their families.
Therapeutic Riding involves the use of horses and equine-assisted activities in an effort to achieve goals that enhance physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational skills for people with special needs.
Here at Spirit Ride (a Non-Profit Therapeutic Riding Center), we believe in reaching beyond our goals and grabbing onto our dreams! That's why it is difficult for us to say, "No." to anyone. Which is exactly what we have had to do when it comes to serving clients who utilize wheelchairs for mobility. Sadly, the Spirit Ride campus is currently not wheelchair accessible. Our long-term facility goals are to build a mounting ramp, smooth surface walkways, and a wheelchair friendly bathroom.
We are calling this campaign, "OPERATION: LET'S GET ROLLING!" Because some things are just a necessary part of life...Phase 1 of "Operation: Let's Get Rolling!" will focus on building a restroom with wheelchair access. This will cost a minimum of $10,000. Spirit Ride is not in session during the winter months, so we would love to complete this goal before the riders and their families return in the Spring. Can you imagine how excited they will be??!
We simply can not do this by ourselves and these kids deserve the opportunity to achieve their goals. Will you help us make Spirit Ride a place where everyone can experience the magic of Equine Therapy? The riders, their families, and our dedicated volunteers will be incredibly grateful! Thank you!!
