Stand with Dan

This assistance fund has been established by friends of Dan Carty, a well-known Bristol area musician who is currently undergoing a battle with cancer.  In October of last year, Dan lost his job. Only weeks later it was discovered that he had Squamous Cell Malignant Cancer of the head and neck. Since then, he has undergone several surgeries, biopsies, MRI’s, PET scans, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Dan has already incurred over $13,000 in out-of-pocket expenses, co-pays, and non-covered items due to his very limited insurance coverage.  Throughout this ordeal, Dan has continued to do some consulting work, but has been essentially self-employed. However, the time is rapidly approaching that he will be unable to work at all for an extended period of time.  To further complicate matters, Dan will be commuting over 4 hours each weekday to and from his treatment center in Knoxville. This inability to produce any income at all during this fight with cancer will be an additional burden on top of the debillitating pain and future medical expenses that he is already facing.   Help us #StandwithDan,  a man that has been a friend to so many, for so long.
