On 18 September 2026, our lives changed forever.
Our beautiful 4-year-old son, Elijah (Eli), was diagnosed with aggressive High-Risk Neuroblastoma.
Before this, Eli was just being a happy, cheeky 4-year-old — playing, laughing, making everyone around him smile and enjoying the things he loves most. He loves animals, sea animals, dinosaurs, his iPad, Vegemite sandwiches, camping, walking the dogs and simply being outside and being a kid.
What started with what we thought might be an illness quickly became something no parent could ever imagine.
Eli’s cancer has progressed aggressively, affecting multiple areas of his body. Since his diagnosis, our little boy has faced procedures, chemotherapy, breathing complications, fluid around his lungs and intensive medical support.
Eli is now critically unwell and is on life support, with his medical team working around the clock to keep him alive and give him the best chance possible. He is also now requiring dialysis to support his kidneys.
We have been told by Eli’s medical team that we are facing an incredibly serious and uncertain road ahead. Right now, our only focus is our little boy and doing everything we can to be by his side.
His treatment journey is expected to involve an intense combination of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy, depending on how he responds and what his doctors determine is possible.
As parents, there is nothing harder than watching your child fight for their life.
We have created this GoFundMe to help take some of the financial pressure away from our family while we focus on Eli. Donations will help with living expenses, travel, accommodation, medical-related costs, time away from work and the many unexpected expenses that come with having a seriously ill child in hospital for an extended period.
If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. Every dollar can make a difference to our family.
If you aren’t in a position to donate, sharing Eli’s story means just as much to us. ❤️
Please keep Eli in your thoughts and prayers as he continues the biggest fight of his little life.
