Hi there! My name is Yaakov Klein and I am the author of "Sparks from Berditchov: An Inspirational Guide to Avodas Hashem" released earlier this year by Feldheim Publishers.
B'chasdei Hashem, the book has sold extremely well all over the world, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. For hundreds of Jews, Sparks from Berditchov has become a staple at their Shabbos table each week.
In addition to writing, I have the opportunity to spend much of my time learning with Jews of all ages and backgrounds here in Chicago where I live. Many have expressed interest in the deep teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov but feel frustrated by their inability to grasp his Torah lessons in his magnum opus, Likutei Moharan. Though they have all studied his well-known sayings, parables, and words of encouragement, they seek to explore the "meat and potatoes" of this master's work. Even with a translation, they find it difficult to perceive the relevance in the long and oftentimes confusing teachings through which Rebbe Nachman revealed his soul.
To help the English-speaking public access the treasures couched within the teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, I have written a second book entitled "Sunlight of Redemption". Sunlight of Redemption is an elucidation and in-depth exploration of "Torah Aleph", the very first lesson in Likutei Moharan, and one of the most fundemental to Rebbe Nachman's entire worldview. In the pages of "Sunlight of Redemption", this teaching is broken down, line by line, and thoroughly explained using teachings from many other masters of Jewish thought. What emerges is an entirely fresh outlook on the world and our mission within it.
Included in this book is a full length introduction to Likutei Moharan, answering important questions such as "who wrote Likutei Moharan", "how is Likutei Moharan different from other works of Chassidus?", and "who is Likutei Moharan written for?" in a clear and lucid manner.
I am turning to you, my dear friends, readers, and fellow students of Rebbe Nachman, for your help in funding this project. This is an opportunity to have a hand in helping bring Rebbe Nachman's deepest teachings to the general public, something which he held to be a tremendous mitzvah.
Although a donation of any size gets us closer to our goal, we are setting amounts for half page dedications, full page dedications, and one platinum sponsorship which includes the honor of naming the edition.
(Any extra funds will be used toward the production of my third book, the second in the "sparks" series, "Sparks from Breslov" which is in the process of being written.)
Half page dedication in the book: $ 1,500 (six avaliable)
Full page dedication in the book: $ 3,000 (two avaliable)
Platinum sponsorship: $ 7,000 (one available)
(Ma'aser money may be used.)
Any donation of $ 500 or more will recieve a complimentary book upon its publication.
Please share this opportunity to have a part in this tremendous endeavor with your family and friends!
Tizkeh l'mitzvos, and in the zechus of this incredible tzeddaka, may Hashem shower you and your families with only revealed goodness!
All the best,
Yaakov
