TNR Kittens-Sgt. Anthony Park Assoc
Donation protected
The cats and kittens in the Sgt. Anthony Park neighborhood need our help.
Kittens are living on the street. Their mothers are being hit by cars. Sadly, a mother of four kittens was hit and killed on Palisade Ave in front of the park on July 11th.
We can end this suffering by sterilizing the cats.
The cost is $55 per cat and includes surgery, pain medication, rabies shots and other necessary vaccines. The cats will lead healthier happier lives and kittens will no longer be born to live a difficult life outdoors.
Please come together as a community and help by making a donation.
The Sgt Anthony Park Neighborhood Association is the sponsor. The Jersey City Animal Control Department is our partner. They will provide traps, transportation, recovery care and return the cats back to us. They will also make the appointments at the People for Animals Clinic and get us a discount! All we have to do is raise the money. This is a wonderful offer we cannot refuse.
We've already spayed and released one female named Pepper who is doing well. Now we need to take care of her 4 kittens, 2 other adults and 14 kittens and cats on Hopkins and Baldwin.
For an additional $35 per cat we can treat for fleas and ear mites and get the cats micro chipped so that if they get lost they will returned.
Unspayed cats breed twice a year bringing newborn kittens into a tough life on the streets. Trap Neuter Return is the only non-lethal method of managing these cats. During TNR, the cats are humanely trapped and transported to the vet clinic for spaying and neutering. After a brief two day recovery, the neutered cats are then returned to their colony location where they will remain.
Neutering will reduce nuisance behaviors and there will be no more litters of kittens to worry about.
Please be an angel and support our neighborhood TNR project by making a donation. You will sleep better knowing you are making a difference in your own backyard. We will keep you posted with updates and pictures.
