Early Monday Feb 15th, 2016 , A decorated combat veteran and our good friend Grant Langenburg, (formerly of Wolverine, MI & Gaylord, MI) was shot in the chest with a rifle in Tampa, FL by one of several men in a home invasion, apparently seeking money and other valuables while he was sleeping
Although, the bullet "just missed his heart", Grant has suffered a punctured lung, which collapsed in the ambulanve on the way to the E.R. and has 3 broken ribs, and is extremely lucky to be alive. The bullet remains in his body because it is to close to his heart to safetly be removed.
This GoFundMe Page is available to anybody wishing to make a donation to aid in Grant's, hopefully speedy, recovery. He is currently in ICU in Tampa in critical but stable condition and there is no ETA on his release yet.
Thank you to everybody, for the overwhelming support that Grant has already seen. Grant is a decorated war veteran with 10 years of service and multiple deployments overseas. It's a tragedy that Grant had to suffer these types of injuries while sleeping in his own home on U.S soil. It's even more hurtful to think some coward would try to hurt such a great guy. Grant would go out of his way for a complete stranger if he thought he could help them in any way possible. Grant does not deserve what happened to him and I would appreciate any support or donations that could help with his long recovery process.
Love you, Bro! Ya got a whole mitten full of people praying and thinking about you!
