Hi there. My name is Derek Pontious. My wife Karen and I have lived in Rochester, Indiana all of our lives and we have 3 amazing kids. Our son Justin is 25 years old and has struggled with a drug addiction for nearly 10 years. My wife and I have raised our children in church all their lives and through Justin's battle with drugs we have continued to rely on our faith in the Lord for his healing. The bible says in Matthew 17:20 Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. So we have chosen to have faith through Jesus that no matter how hard it might be nothing is impossible for our son and he can and will be healed. I have set this fundraiser in place with all the love in my heart for my son to ask our friends, our family and our community to share, pray or donate to our efforts to successfully place Justin in a rehabilitation center called teen challenge. Teen Challenge is a 12-21 month rehab program including his re-entry which is designed to help recovering addicts find jobs, housing and support groups when they have finished the program. The fee is $500 a month with a $500 enrollment fee so we're looking at a maximum of $11,000.  Luke 10:19 says, I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Justin has made it very clear that he is ready to trample his addiction to the ground and change his life for the better knowing God has given him the authority to do so. Hearing our son say he is committed to changing is an answer to many prayers. Justin has fire in him that most young men don't have. Karen and I are so excited to see the great plans God has in store for him and watch our son embark on his journey to better his future.
