Help Me Help Teri

Meet my dear friend Teri Martin,

  Teri was in automobile accident on June 22, 1979 as a 12 yr. old child.

Teri broke her back in three places and suffered a Spinal Cord Injury, she is a paraplegic and has been in a wheelchair throughout her childhood, now for over 37 years.

Teri is a beautiful woman with a strong and always positive, shining spirit and is an inspiration to everyone she meets.

 Teri wants to be independent, but now she needs our help. She lives on a very small disability Income and in the past relied on her parents for help.

  Now that Teri’s parent’s both passed away in 2013, her life has become very difficult financially.

 Teri is unable to work and struggling to pay her bills, medical expenses and is in desperate need of dependable transportation with hand controls. 

  Her existing car is worn and no longer safe to drive.
 
Teri was also recently diagnosed with advanced Osteopenia (low bone density) and Heterotopic Ossification which is the presence of abnormal bone growth in soft tissue. Years of being unable to walk or stand have caused these conditions. It is very important now for her to start standing to help correct these problems. Her Doctor has recommended she purchase a standing frame that will allow her to stand on her own at home every day. 

 I am asking each and everyone to donate what you can to help this beautiful lady in her time of need.
