"The One" mentorship and life coaching is solely run by myself, Derrick D. Grace II. I created this mentorship with several key changes in mind. Economic equality, self awareness, and independence. I've always believed the responsibility of a man and visionary was to analyze, conquer, and gain the knowledge of the land. Only to return to empower, uplift, and educate his people. I seek to do just that, with "The One" mentoship. My relatability has been one of my greatest internal and external gifts, to this very day. I travel through the same impoverished areas they do, face the same plights as a single parent as they do. I've dodge the same scorching hot shells that claim countless lives, evaded the same eerie traffic stops and interactions that claim even more souls, and have consistently found a way to channel the energy and aggression we so often harbor for the betterment of myself. Sure we have several things in common, but many defining differences as well. I don't still dwell in these places by force, more so by choice. I've recognized our mother's are getting younger, the habitual criminals as well, and the things that were once considered as risk, are after thoughts for this current and upcoming generation. This behavior and processing, demonstrates several things to me. This new era of people are losing their conscious more and more by the day, they're fearless, and will act instantly on anything the feel strongly about. Some would call them crazy, more are frightened of them. I have a different name for them. They're simply misplacing their efforts and energy. They're entering the world equipped with brute strength, head strong, and a heart of steel. Ready for the fight, in a sense. Yet what happens when they channel the focus, rely on their wisdom and wits to gain economic equality, and find legal routes to financial abundance? It's very simple, a CULTURE SHIFT.
Those who are willing to die for blocks they don't own, will now be willing to die to get off that block. Those who have been stifled in their career path due to politics and any other unjust corporate practices, will no loger be reliant on a strangers will to provide them with opportunity. They'll seek ownership, equity, and assets in everything they do. Our consciousness and accountability has been diluted by this house of lies called reality. Lies, sex, money, and violence has overridden all things of substance. A shift and change of this magnitude is surely a long shot, but so is success, child birth, and space traveling. I not only believe in The Shift, but seek to will it into existence through consistency, a fearless approach, and the support of likeminds. Traveling Empowerment - I wholeheartedly believe The Shift can and will be more than attainable, with this all new method of presentation I'm seeking. What can be given away for FREE, represents happy times no matter what neighborhood you're in, is happily accepted on any block in America, and has music you will recognize anywhere in the world, is synonymous with peace, good times, and can be viewed as a reward for the youth? Simple, an ICE CREAM TRUCK! Whether you're in Washington D.C., Arizona, or the slums of an overseas country, the imagery and sounds of an ice cream truck represent good times, innocence, and good eating. I look to provide the surrounding areas, cities, and states with the "Medicine In The Candy" method. I will travel daily to provide not only a free service of ice cream, but more importantly words, pamphlets, and personal interactions of consciousness. This method has several different variables, that are sure to make it a success in my opinion. Take in account, how much we enjoy and love free things? Even more, the appreciation a parent or adult figure would have for a figure that provides such a sought after service to their children for free? Aside from the obvious pleasure and awakening it would have being that it's free, think about the shock value within such an idea. As a parent, what do you do or think when your child returns home on a consistent basis claiming they're receiving free ice cream from an unknown male figure. I'm a parent of two beautiful children and my antenna would immediately rise, should they begin receiving free treats from a stranger. I'd make it my business to be waiting on my porch the following day, to check the intentions and mental capacity of this giving individual. Not only have we now drawn the interest of the child, but we now have the parent's in tune and eagerly waiting to get involved. The "Medicine In The Candy" element is now in full effect, we've infiltrated areas that are bias and accustomed to certain people and faces. We've carved out our place into their week or weeked, by providing this free service. Step 2, would go as follows. I'm well aware of the small attention span of this generation and the need to capture and hold them when you have the opportunity. The small window of opportunity would present itself, as we exchange and interact regarding the free service they're receiving. Those brief 2-3 minutes of interaction will determine whether they use the information and pamphlet I provide them with or get lost in the consumption of their treat. I'm 100% certain my genuineness, charisma, eye contact, irregular facial features, and words of consciousness will capture them. Moments or maybe even hours after consuming that free treat, I'm confident they'll replay my words of empowerment, encouragement, and hope. The "Medicine In The Candy" method has successfully been employed at this moment. The Shift will begin, from this point on.
I've realized the school system, is not 100% behind my ideology, they're frightened by my beliefs, yearn for independence and ownership. They've taught us for years to work our way up within a system, follow guidelines, and to be reliant on pieces of paper that specify how book smart we are. Things that consistantly pop up in our adult lives like tax preparation, adversity, and economic depletion are overlooked. This route of communication will be times for myself to mentor those ready for growth, on a first hand basis. I look to impute the knowledge, wits, and understanding taken from my personal experiences to create The Shift. With the support of likeminds, I will be able to purchase, fully furnish, and consistently use this tool of travel to empower minds.
Public Speaking - I consistenly utilize personal travel time, social media forums, and any platform that provides opportunity to empower, uplift, lecture, and mentor those willing to accept The Shift.
Clothing And Food Giveaways - Being financially stagnant is one the biggest detriments to the growth and success of this era. Financial comfortability seems to ease most pain we feel these days. We sleep better knowing our lights will be on, our stomachs are full, and we have decent shoes to wear.
Volunteer Work - I dedicate at least 2 weekends a month to soup kitchens, neighborhood clean ups, and mentoring youth.
Back To School Giveaways - Preparation is key, when attempting to achieve any goal or amount of success. Your preparation will be the deciding factor on how you react and carry on, when adversity strikes as it does so often. I supply a large number of in need youth with care packages to assist in their education quarterly.
Being selfless and conscious has to be one of the most misplaced personal traits of our era. Everyone is out for self, going with the flow of things, and speaking on change rather than being the change! Being conscious and responsible is too hard and no fun, for some reason. I'm here to restore the feeling.
What's the most valuable thing in life? TIME... We can make new friends, make more money, and plant new grass. We can not rewind time, pause, or replay it. The very moments you're using to read this, will never be here again. Time is the only resource we can not recoup. We have to stop wasting it existing, rambling about change, and pointing fingers. The power is for the people and the strength is in the numbers. Join me in creating The Shift. Our contributions shall live forever...
