Hello everybody and thank you for reading this page.
About 2 months ago my mom was sent to the hospital for what we believed was pneumonia. After A lot of x-rays it showed she had nodules growing on her lungs which have increased in size since the last time she had pneumonia. Our main concern was to figure out if the nodules were benign or not, (cancerous or not). During this time her oxygen level kept going down and down to the point where now she has to rely on oxygen full-time or she cannot breathe whatsoever. With lots of scares she became stable. As the weeks went by we finally were able to get the biospy done of her lungs.
We have found out that my mom has been diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer that started in her bottom right lung to the middle and now across her chest. We also found out she has pulmonary fibrosis which is the scarring of her lungs. Unfortunately the only treatment for my mom's cancer is to do chemotherapy and radiation, surgery is not an option because of her lungs being so scarred it would kill her.
The reason I am asking for help from you all reading, My mom is the one who pays some of the rent as well as ALL utilities that come from her check. She is uninsured and as you can imagine the medical expenses are just adding up. (Alone one scan was $10,000) With my fathers check each month being the only source of income at the moment which goes ALL goes to the rent, to say we will be struggling to put food on our table and hold a roof over are head is a understatement.
All I am asking is for a little donation here or there to help our family survive this roller coaster we are about to embark on. She has done so much and I know it would make her feel safe knowing that we will be okay, even if the money we raise is just for some of her medications. It would mean the world to not only me, but to my whole family. Please help us. Every bit counts.
