Help Sarah attend UCONN!
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jesse Manning. I can easily say that Sarah Dezelin is one of my best friends and it breaks my heart that she cannot afford to go to school to further her education. If there is anyone out there who deserves to take themselves to the next level in the higher education world it is Sarah.
Sarah is a 4.0 Student with an incredible amount of community service hours. Now Sarah is one of the most selfless people out there so her asking for money or help would be totally out of the question for her, but I'm not that way. Every cent of this donation will be going to Sarah and her funding for school. Her original Facebook post about her situation is down below:
"Hi guys!
As a lot of you know, I got accepted into UConn Stors campus, which in my letter said "You have been selected from the most academically talented and competitive applicant pool in UConn's History". I was really excited I made it, and even more excited to go.
Only my close friends know that I come from a family who's financially disadvantaged, and to go to school I rely on a good amount of government scholarship in addition to my academic or talent-based scholarships.
Unfortunately, however, due to my dad's tax information being audited, my FAFSA is unable to be completed on time and I will not receive the aid necessary to go to any educational institution in the 2016-2017 year. (They won't let my apply as an independent unless both my parents pass away, I have a child, I become homeless, or I get married)
If any of you guys know of any scholarships I could apply to, please direct me to them so I might be able to circumvent this situation. I attached my resume, if you read it maybe some will come to mind?
Thanks guys :) And don't feel bad. No matter what Ill figure out a good future for me.
"
Now I understand not everyone may have alot of money to donate, but that is okay. From $1 - $5 any amount will help her out. Let's help Sarah reach a great future!
Thank you all so much.
