USA Women's Ball Hockey - Chicago

Donation protected
Eileen Meslar, Lorissa Sernus, and Danielle Strohmier fell in love with ball hockey when they were very young. After aging out of their youth ball hockey league, they all learned how to skate so they could keep playing hockey. In 2013 they returned to ball hockey and took a Chicago Women's Team to a tournament in Massachusetts. After learning about the American Street Hockey Institute USA Women's Team, they decided to attend the national team tryout. They were selected for the USA Women's Team and will be competing in Zug, Switzerland, in the World Ball Hockey Championships June 22-28, 2015, and in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, in the World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships in September 2015.

They are the very first Chicago area players to be selected to compete on a USA national ball hockey team. Because this will only be the the 5th Women's World Ball Hockey Championship, the USA program is not fully funded yet. All of the USA players are required to attend numerous training camps on the East Coast. In addition to purchasing costly flights from Chicago, the players have to pay for hotels and meals for the USA training camp weekends.  The players also need their equipment to be in top shape to compete at their best in the World Championships.

If you are able, please help Lorissa, Danielle, and Eileen realize their dream in representing the USA in the World Ball Hockey Championships!
