NYC STUDENT BRUTALLY ATTACKED

This GoFundMe account is for the recovery of a student who is a member of the Upper West Side community in New York City. She was brutally attacked on the street by a man she did not know, just steps away from her apartment building. She endured her attacker's beatings for over 10 agonizing minutes before someone interrupted the attack.

The attacker punched, kicked, bit and strangled her until she passed out (several times), while ripping off her clothing in an attempt to rape her. 

Both her breastbone and face/skull (including both eye sockets) were broken in multiple places. She suffered internal damage to her throat due to him strangling her, as well painful cuts and bruises all over her body from his punching her and stomping on her. 

She is a student with minimal insurance, and is facing a mountain of out-of-pocket, medical expenses. In addition to her current medical bills, she must still undergo a number of procedures, including one required for respiratory purposes and to fix her broken breastbone.

This woman is a kind and loving daughter, sister, aunt and an amazing friend. She is a passionate wildlife conservationist, which is her life's work, as well as an incredibly involved member of the New York City community for 10+ years.
