The Victorian Paralympic State Team represents Victoria in the National Championships held in Sydney each year. The team comprises of 12 players who are classified depending on their ability. This relates to persons with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injuries and those with stroke related impairments.

The program is designed to develop football skills with added support for the development of personal skills such as resilience and self-reliance, two factors in becoming both an elite performer and valuable assets in life.

The team participates in regular trainings and the All Abilities League as part of their training and preparation for the National Championships. By being in the state team program, players have a chance to be selected for the Pararoos (Australia Paralympic Soccer Team).  Creating a pathway for athletes with disabilities is still a continual work in progress in Australia.
