Violet Family

On January 24th, the Violet family was affected by a life event few of us have ever experienced. That morning a fire destroyed the home of Michelle, her husband Marshal, and their children Evan, Tylan and Abby. Thankfully, no one was injured but their home is a total loss. Unfortunately, Michelle and Marshal did not have renters insurance. Though their possessions can be replaced and their resolve strong, nothing will erase the memory of such a tragic event and only time will ease the burdens, anxiety, sadness, grief and frustration of losing their home.
Michelle is a wonderful person. She is a wife and step mother to 3 beautiful children. She is a unit coordinator/nursing assistant at Kettering Medical Center on the oncology unit and is enrolled in the nursing program at Sinclair. Marshal is a loving husband and devoted father. His career is based in computer technology but his life revolves around his family. Michelle and Marshal have devoted their lives to caring for others. They give themselves so that others smile, laugh, live and love. They have done so willingly and without regard for recognition. They are a good family that has fallen upon a troubling time.
Now, it is our time. As friends, family and a community, we must come together to help them. Let us all give of ourselves to show the Violet family exactly what they mean to us. Let us raise them up from the ashes, literally and support them generously. It is our goal to raise twenty-five hundred dollars but I challenge you all to give until it hurts. Times are hard, we all know that, but put your life into perspective before you donate. Look at your life and evaluate how blessed you actually are then think about how quickly everything can change, like it has for this family. Any amount if greatly appreciated.
So, let us show them with love and support. Let us turn this tragedy into a blessing and let us all reflect God's light to brighten an otherwise dark time.
