The Fourth Check

We are WELD, and we hold the line. We stand strong against a malleable notion of truth, against ethics determined by situation. We stand stalwart against what often seems to be the inevitable march of our country down the path of the uninformed, toward willful ignorance and the intolerances that come with it. To our very core, we believe in our essential form of government, with its system of checks and balances – a legislative branch that represents us and makes our laws, a judicial branch that protects our rights, an executive branch that leads us forward – each checking the other at points along the way.

But, government is imperfect. And for that reason, our First Amendment right is more than a right – it’s a requirement. It’s the fourth check. The final bulwark against propaganda.

Your $1000 donation allows us to print an additional 2500 newspapers for one week.
