The West Hartford Land Trust is a local, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving open space in the Town of West Hartford.  The Land Trust, which is run by volunteers, is in need of financial assistance to help pay for the removal of a dying Silver Maple tree located at one of its properties, 1157R Farmington Ave.  Recently,  a dead branch from this tree fell on a neighbors garage and caused damage.  As a result, the Land Trust will remove the tree to ensure the safety of our neighbors and their property.  The costs of removing the tree pose a significant financial hardship to the Land Trust.   Please consider making a donation to the Land Trust to help remedy this problem, as well as to fund the Land Trust's ongoing operations.

The West Hartford Land Trust is a nonprofit, §501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID Number 04-3724571) dedicated to protecting and preserving open, undeveloped land in the Town of West Hartford. Since its inception in 2002, the Land Trust has preserved approximately 13 acres of open space land throughout the Town of West Hartford. In addition, the Land Trust has recently completed a program in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture to remove invasive species on one of its parcels of land and replace them with native plants, shrubs and trees.

We are also undergoing a transition in leadership on the Land Trust and would be delighted to speak to you about how you can help the Land Trust.  If you are interested, please contact: [email redacted], [email redacted] or [email redacted] for more information.
