Woody's River Guide Service Launch

My goal and dream is to be able to start guiding smallmouth canoe fishing trips in the Spring 2016. Day trips and overnight trips where I can share my love of fishing and kayaking, as well as teach outdoor skills like starting a one match fire, campfire cooking, and properly staking a tent. I've had several people ask me to guide trips this year. Only problem is a lack of funds to get off the ground. I'm using this platform to book the trips necessary to buy the extra boats, trailer, tents, business license, and other gear in exchange for those trips. I'll be offering guided one day trips as well as overnight multi-day trips on the Ozark rivers and creeks here in NorthEast Oklahoma and NorthWest Arkansas. Specializing in smallmouth bass, but I'd you're after big largemouth I have a few spots in SouthEast Oklahoma that fit the bill. Solo canoes will be available if you'd like to paddle your own craft. Or you can kick back and let me do the paddling for you. We'll cover different techniques for different situation we encounter. I'll also teach how to read the river to help you become more efficient with your time on the water. Being able to identify stretches and features that are likely holding bass and also identifying unproductive waters to skip over.  We'll also work on how to navigate your craft more efficiently to avoid spooking fish and make those spots more productive. For overnight trips, there'll be lessons on building one match fires, campfire cooking, knots, and properly staking down a tent on gravel bars.
