A cure for Khali: a mother’s mission to beat MS
Donation protected
Imagine going from being a vibrant, energetic young mother with a promising career, a strong social network and a love of travel to being confined to your home almost all of the time and being so unwell that simply having the energy to shower and eat is almost impossible.
In just a few years this is what multiple sclerosis (MS) has done to my sister.
Diagnosed in her early thirties when she had two toddlers, her world was completely turned upside down. She’s recently deteriorated significantly and is now too unwell to work, so sick she can’t enjoy her children’s lives and she’s confined to being a spectator of life, feeling trapped by her illness.
While there are numerous medications available in Australia for Khali, she has unfortunately ‘failed’ on all of them and has been left feeling desperate and as if she has no hope for the future.
Which is why she’s determined to travel to Russia to undergo a revolutionary new treatment, in the hope it will halt her MS and giver her, her life back. Her wish is to be well again so she can enjoy life with her children and partner.

The story of the woman who underwent the treatment and changed her life has been the inspiration for many Australians who were otherwise hopelessly battling the disease.
It’s now Khali’s turn and after a long wait she has been accepted into the treatment program. The cost of the treatment, airfares and hospital accomodation will come close to $100,000 and so we are hoping to fundraise to help support her on her mission.
We are grateful for any support to help Khali get to Russia for a treatment that we hope will give her, her life back.
To clarify - this is a fundraising page for my sister, Khali. Khali is the beneficiary and all funds are directly transferred to her. The funds will be used to pay for the stem cell treatment in Russia and her travel costs to get to and from Russia.
