A New Scooter for a Deserving Girl

Donation protected
Hello and welcome to the page! Thanks to all who are here to help! We would like to first start by introducing everyone to our wonderful friend Kseniia. Kseniia is an exchange student from Yekaterinburg, Russia who is currently studying at the University of South Dakota. She is a journalism major and is an active member of the community here in Vermillion, South Dakota. She loves to travel and is passionate about her field of study and extracurricular activities. She will study in the United States for one academic year, before she returns to her nation. Kseniia is dependent on a mobility scooter to get herself around, for her ability to walk is limited, though this doesn't stop her at all! She inspires everyone with her positive attitude and readiness to embark upon adventures. Unfortunately, Kseniia's time in the US has not been without difficulty. Specifically, her scooter has been unable to handle the brutal winter conditions here in South Dakota, and this has led to her experiencing troubles getting around at the University, and with winter break coming, her travels may be limited due to her unreliable scooter. Due to the close proximity to break, she has decided to purchase a new scooter so that she will be able to take it on her adventures during the holidays, though the unexpected costs have placed economic stress on her family. Being an international student is already difficult, and no one should have to worry about something as essential as mobility. I hope to rally the community behind our friend and show her the kindness and support that our country contains. We appreciate your efforts in advance, and updates will come as the campaign progresses. Go Yotes!
