A Perfect Storm in the Amazon Wilderness

A Perfect Storm in The Amazon Wilderness provides an in depth analysis of all of the topics relevant to the conservation of the region’s biodiversity, ecosystem services and indigenous cultures, as well as a description of the conventional and sustainable development models that are vying for space within the regional economy. The book is unique not because it provides a convincing argument on the importance of the Amazon, but because it describes the true dimensions of the challenges that cloud its future and the limitations of the policies deployed to safeguard its future.
The book will be published in serial format (one chapter per month) on-line starting in April 2021. I need help to defray the cost of an Open Access publication, specifically for editorial support and publishing fees ($25,000). More importantly, the 1000-page book deserves to be professionally translated into Spanish and Portuguese ($25,000) so that it is freely available to the citizens of the Amazon.
Individuals who make a contribution of $1000 dollars will receive a limited edition printed copy. I would also be willing to give seminars and lectures about specific themes covered by the book. Check out the Summary, Table of Contents and the publication schedule at The White Horse Press.
