A Richmond Family Needs Our Help
Donation protected
A teenage baseball player for Richmond Public Schools has lost his father to illness . And he could lose his home, too. The family is renting a home because they can’t safely live in their home, without a number of renovations. The house needs heating, cooling, flooring, plumbing, electrical and so much more. But it’s also full of memories with dad, and they don’t want to lose them.
When Robert Fletcher, President of Flooring RVA, heard this family's story he decided to help. Robert also was raised by a single mother from a young age and baseball played a huge role in his life. Robert, Flooring RVA, and the Richmond Flying Squirrels are asking members of the community, other Richmond business and individuals, to join them in raising the funds needed to fully renovate this family's home.
The amount needed to complete the renovation is $30,000. Flooring RVA pledges to match all donations up to $15,000 until the full $30,000 is raised and the project is fully funded. If donations beyond $30,000 are received, excess funds will be donated to Al-Anon, a worldwide fellowship that offers a program of recovery for the families and friends of alcoholics.
Once renovation is underway, pictures and videos of the transformation will be posted.
