A tree makes the difference
Javier Herrera is an organic and permaculture farmer, dedicated to the regeneration of the Andes since 2015. His reforestation project in the Ecuadorian parish of Atahualpa was supported by over 100 people. Public and private institutions donated trees and seeds. The new native forest attracted flora and fauna back to the area, contributing to the conservation of native species and the environment.
On September 8, 2018, a tragedy occurred. People without scruples or love of nature invaded the land. Over 500 native trees, planted by the community, by school children and by foreign volunteers were affected by a fire started by the evil and unconsciousness of people who do not protect the environment. This caused a lot of ecological damage to the area and affecting emotionally the one person who had been working on the project for so many years – Javier.
This is why we turn to you, dear lovers of nature. Each collected dollar will be destined exclusively to the purchase and planting of over one thousand native trees, in order to start a new forest and to preserve the fauna and flora threatened by the greatest predator of all – man.
We need your help and support. Help Javier continue to pursue his life goal!
