A Tribute to Kaneisha Northern

The things we take for granted. Kaneisha had been fighting a courageous battle since 2010. Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic debilitating disease that left her devastated and with thoughts of giving up on her dreams. Transitioning from having the ability to walk, then to depend on a wheelchair was a devastating change. Kaneisha's form of Multiple Sclerosis was a torture from being partially bedridden and made her feel alone at times.
She was always a go getter with being a woman of influence through encouraging women and girls to follow their dreams. She was honored as a “Hero of Hollywood” by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and invited to the White House each of the past four years. Unfortunately, due to the severity of her condition, she was only able to attend twice. Multiple Sclerosis had brought her many challenges including standing difficulties, muscle weakness, constant fatigue, body tremors, and more.
Her greatest desire was to return back to inspiring the greatness in others, she had also hoped to do the same.
She was recently accepted into the world renowned Shepherd Center for her Multiple Sclerosis. Unfortunately her medical insurance did not cover the effective practices. The Shepherd Center works with patients that have battled with multiple sclerosis, traumatic spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries. She was very eager to take part in the aggressive rehabilitation program.
Though her passion has always been helping others to live their dream, the Lord saw that Kaneisha was getting tired and called her home to rest on August 2, 2017. Her battle may be over but we will continue the fight to bring awareness to her cause. Please help us honor her memory with your gift of contribution and please, keep her family in your prayers.
