In Need of Medical Assistance.

This fundraiser started out as just something I needed to cover rent because I was short a few days from returning to work from short term disability. This was from a time when I thought I could still work full time with diagnoses of advanced congestive heart failure and end stage renal disease. How so very wrong I turned out to be. I've had to go on social security disability. That doesn't make ends meet at all. A part time 16 hour a week job has helped, but those hours cannot always be counted on. Especially now that my heart transplant process is ramping up considerably. Stress tests, heart caths, and many doctor appointments are ahead of me. This is going to impact me medically and financially, especially post transplant (if I am blessed enough to make it to that point). Expenses will pile up very quickly once I am recovering for almost 5 months and cannot work at all. This fund is pivoting towards setting up a long term savings account that will hopefully provide a cushion and allow me the peace of mind to heal without the stress of not knowing where the money will possibly come from. If you ask if there is anything you can do for me, this is what I need most. I know the amount seems high, but this isn't just for my near future, it's also for my life after. When the Medicare and disability ends and the costs of my 12 anti-rejection meds are on me as well as having to get back into the workforce.
