My name is Bill Conley and I am rasing money to hire a top notch lawyer who will help me battle the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS church) to stop development of the Thanksgiving Point driving range by the church.
The LDS church plans to build a 120,000 square foot massive office tower and a church building on what is now a driving range. This would be the first time in US History that a church has taken control of a PGA caliber driving range with the intention of demolshing it and creating a for profit business.
The LDS church has completely ignored the pleas from local residents to not build and plans to force development in area of town where traffic studies indicate that traffic flow is already at an "F" rating.
The church could care less about those that live in the area, the integrity of the Thanksgiving Point golf course (PGA caliber) or the nightmare traffic snarl their new massive office complex will exasterbate. All they care about is themselves (greed) and profit and advancement of their corporate interest and goals.
I need your help to stop the LDS church from advancing their agenda to build on this pristine driving range located near the Thanksgiving Point club house.
My property would be 170 feet from the property line of this new commercial development. This new office complex would become an eyesore to the community, increase traffic and put the health, safety and welfare of those who live, work and play in the Thanksgivng area at risk.
We need to stop the LDS church from building on the Thanksgiving Point driving range and need your help to block this development from advancing.
I know we can be successful if I had the funds to hire a top notch attorney.
The City of Lehi is equally at fault for even allowing this development to advance beyond the concept stage. They have been put on notice that development in the Thanksgiving Point area is already out of control, that they have not followed their own development code (Chapter 28 - Resort Community Code) and that traffic studies show an "F" rating in and around the Thanksgiving Point area, yet they snub their nose at the citizens in the area and allow continual development ignoring the will of the people who live in the area to stop all development until they improve the road infrastructure.
Lastly, the development of this massive office complex in my opinion is illegal and the formation of the subdivision they created was illegal as well. A top notch attorney will in my opinion stop this development before it has a chance to start.
