In Abigail’s own words, she was a “writer, feminist and world traveler -- advocating for human rights, international development and socially innovative ideas that can change the world.”
As a close friend of Abigail, we saw how many lives she touched and how many global communities she affected. She was a selfless individual who devoted her life to the causes and nonprofits she believed in. The organizations and nonprofits that she was involved in were Texas Spirits, Texas 4000, Camp Texas, African Refugees and Orphanages, LIVESTRONG, Casa Marianella, and UT’s Service Scholars Program, amongst many others. Through these organizations, she left a lasting impact and inspired others to “Be The Change”. It is heartbreaking that Abigail left us too soon, but we hope to continue towards the positive changes that she would have wanted to make.
