ACL Surgery for Marshall
Donation protected
The Marshfield Area Pet Shelter is no stranger to caring for animals that are in need of a warm bed, TLC & medical care. Occasionally, however, an animal arrives at the facility that requires specialized treatment for an injury or illness.
Meet Marshall, a three year old, neutered male mixed breed dog that was brought into the shelter as a stray and has sadly remained unclaimed by his former owners. Upon physical examination, the veterinary team discovered that Marshall has an injury to his cruciate ligament (ACL). A tear in this ligament, left untreated can cause severe arthritis and lifelong discomfort. Unfortunately, the treatment for this injury is an advanced orthopedic surgery, although, most pets who receive this surgery recover very well and regain use of the injured leg.
Marshall is otherwise in excellent health, walks on a leash with ease, is housetrained and is extremely friendly. He has won over the hearts of everyone he has met with his unstoppable spirit and his lovable nature. With the help of the community, MAPS would like to raise funds for Marshall’s surgery. The shelter relies on donations to operate their facilities, which is currently brimming with adoptable pets. With the aid of animal lovers, this essential treatment can be a possibility for this amazing dog.
Donations will be deposited into the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter's medical fund to help Marshall. Any funds in excess of what is needed for Marshall will remain in this account for other animals requiring special medical attention. MAPS is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization. All donations made to MAPS are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS. Tax ID: 45-3854527.
Thank you!
