adamscosheriff.org Natchez, MS: On November 6, 2017 deputies responded to a call for a report of dog fighting. When deputies arrived, they observed a black pit bull dog chained to a vehicle in the front yard and barking coming from the area in back of the residence. Deputies observed 40 – 50 dogs chained up throughout the wooded area in the rear of the residence.  Several of the dogs had serious injuries. The sheer number of wounded animals is overwhelming and Sheriff Patten has asked for assistance in providing food, shelter, vet services and care for these dogs which could take anywhere from 3 months to 1 year for the case to be completed.  The Sheriff's Office will incur the cost of caring for these animals until then.  That is why we need your help.
