Adopt-a-Nazi (Not Really)
Tax deductible
UPDATE: Friends -- It is with full hearts and tremendous gratitude that we close this campaign. What you did was incredible. Together, we raised more than $160,000 to fight hate and extremism here in the U.S. Here are some highlights:
A Banner Day
Our plane flew over San Francisco, generating tweets, chuckles, and a bunch more donations!

Offline Donations
A couple of generous offline donations bear mentioning. Munger Tolles & Olson LLP donated $1,500 to SPLC, and John Keker donated an additional $1,000. Those donations put us over $160,000 raised!
By the Numbers
Total raised: $160,391
Total donors: 2,647
Average donation: $60
Facebook shares: 17,000
Your Two Cents
Many of you added comments along with your contributions. Here is just a small sample of the poignant, defiant, and hysterical comments you posted:
"Go Nazis go! (not really)"
"Nazis. I hate these guys!"
"Defeat evil by making them do more good than harm. I love it."
"Thanks Nazis! If it wasn't for you I would have never thought to do this. Nice going!"
"It feels good to be able to do something to combat these activities."
"I'll adopt one. Preferably vaccinated and neutered."
"Thank you. I've shared this on FB as well. We wanted something we could do. This is small, but it is vital."
"Never again."
"Yes. Yes. All the yes. I am in."
"I am adopting in honor of my late father, Francis, who was a white supremacist. He inadvertently taught me the importance of standing up for what is right. We can honor our parents by not repeating their mistakes."
"I hope the nazi I sponsor is extra hateful. I want to get the most value out of my money."
"SPLC is a wonderful organization and I am happy to contribute!!"
"Greetings from Germany, I'm in awe of how you handle these events. Never again, anywhere in this world, should hate be allowed to win for even a minute."
"Great idea! My 13 year old son sold cookies and lemonade for this fundraiser and made $102.14 towards this donation. Berkeley neighbors loved it!"
"In honor of my dad, Seymour Grobel, a Jewish veteran of WWII, who devoted 4.5 years of his life in the fight against Nazis and Fascism to make the world a better place, on what would have been his 100th birthday today."
This is the Beginning
So that's a wrap, for now. As long as hatred and Nazism continue to rear their heads, we all have a job to do. This campaign proved how people from all around the country and the world can come together, quickly, to turn extremists' perceived power against them. We hope you'll stand ready to rally once again when needed.
As we close this campaign, our prayers are with the people of Houston, who even now are coping with Hurricane Harvey. We hope you'll take your giving spirit, and click here to contribute to those in need as a result of the storm:
