The Adullum Community Healthcare Center (ACHC) is a faith based nonprofit primary care and behavioral health center of health and wholeness targeting the Greater Charles Village/Barkley, Waverly, Old Goucher and Greenmount communities, however everone is welcome. The center is located in the St Johns United Methodist Church, 2640 St Paul St, Baltimore, MD. We welcome all patients insured or not and provide education, support and access electronically to those who wish to be insured via the Maryland Healthcare Connection.
Our center addresses Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and adult trauma informed care (TIC). We concentrate on identification, prevention and treatment of medical diseases and conditions that impact our community's well-being including but not limited to common child and adult illnesses, immunizations, screening of children, youth and adult behavior disorders, anxiety, depression, HIV screening, obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Primary care services include routine physical examinations, screening of the population for most conditions and chronic care mangement. Common life stressors are addressed through wellness circles. Behavioral Health services will also be provided.
The Adullam Community Health Center’s target population is children and adults, uninsured, underinsured and newly insured, who are not receiving quality health care.
Our goal is to raise $198,500 that will be used for one year operating expenses for the Adullum Community Healthcare Center (ACHC). The funds will go to medical supplies, electronic and paper outreach services, and medical part-time medical personell who staff the ACHC.
The wellness circles are ongoing and the primary care and behavioral health component will start in April. Untill now, the ACHC has been paid for through small donations which has allowed our credentialing and set-up process to proceed including repair of the site and legal fees. Now we need funding to pay staff and support our wellness, behavioral health and medical care to proceed as we help heal the community
