F1 in Schools STEM Team
Welcome everyone! We are a second year F1 in Schools team from The Center for Advanced Studies at Wheeler High School. F1 in Schools is an international STEM competition for high school students to build and race model Formula One racing cars powered by CO2 canisters down a straight 24 meter track in around one second. Through this extraordinary program, each of us will have the opportunity to learn and practice with engineering tools, project management, marketing, professional design, and leadership.
We just won the US National Championship and are now preparing for the World Competition in Singapore during mid-September. We truly believe that this competition provides real-world knowledge that we do not gain in a day-to-day classroom. Therefore, with the great help of those around us, together we can hope to reach new heights for us as well as our entire community. Please visit our website for more details and info. Thank you!
