Afghan Girls Education, One Classroom at a Time
Donation protected
The Kamila Sidiqi Foundation, a Non-Profit organization, has been working in Afghanistan since 2022 to re-open the doors of education for young Afghan girls aged 11 and above. We are raising funds to reach more students and open new classes for girls who have been banned from studying by the Taliban regime.
We strongly believe that every girl has the right to education and this education is the key to their empowerment, independence and mental well-being. Our classes focus on scientific, mathematical and technological studies. We also give psycho-social assistance to our students, many of whom were suffering from acute depression and are going through an emotionally and economically challenging time.
Your donation will go towards starting new classes, paying salaries of women educators who were forced out of their jobs by the Taliban regime, and purchasing academic requirements for Afghan girls who are determined to study despite the obstacles.
We will be raising funds, one class at a time. So the initial target set is to fund school for 15 girls for a year. When we reach this target we will raise funds for the next class.
Funds will be transferred initially to Olga Travlos, the founding sponsor, who will then remit the funds to the Parneyan Training Center and Rehabilitation Organization (PTCRO) https://ptcro.org/, a non-profit organisation in Afghanistan. PTCRO sets up the classes in Afghanistan for the Kamila Sidiqi Foundation.
Please support our campaign and share it with your family and friends. Together we can make a difference to the lives of these amazing and resilient Afghan girls and give them a chance to achieve their potential.
