On Monday, January 8, 2018, at approximately 4:50 a.m. Riverside Police and Fire responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision on Market Street at Second Street, in the city of Riverside. Officers determined a 2000 Honda Civic, which was being driven by an 18-year-old Riverside resident, was south on Market St. when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and impacted a tree near Second St. Emergency services personnel pronounced the vehicle’s 17-year-old passenger deceased at the scene.
