Utility Cart for the Marching Band

Thank you for your interest in supporting me and the Venice High School Music Deparment.

So as many of you may know, I am the Instrumental Music Director at Venice High School. I love my kids, and I love my job. One of my largest responsibilites is the Marching Band, but I also teach many other music classes, in two separate classrooms.

Venice High School is one of the largest campuses in LAUSD, and I find myself having to trek back and forth across campus every day because the main music room is on the complete opposite side of campus than the strings/keyboard/piano lab. The distance is about .5 miles, and I am always carrying things, often times multiple instruments back and forth.

I recently was in the hospital for pneumonia and I no longer can walk my regular brisk walk. I get winded just from walking across the classroom. My journey of recovery will be a long 6 months.

Your donation goes towards the purchase of a utility cart, similar to what is pictured. Not only will it help me be able to move more swiftly across campus in my current condition, but it will be used for moving of equipment and instruments for the Marching Band for competitions, football games, and other events.

We would love to see this campaign fulfilled as soon as possible as it is a large ticket item that can be used immediately.
