Alan Edge, Local Elections 2019

I'm Alan Edge and I’m standing up for the residents of Firhouse-Bohernabreena as an Independent Candidate in the local elections on 24th May.

I have been proud to call Bohernabreena home for the past 3 years. Before that, I spent years in London as a legal-aid barrister, fighting on behalf of vulnerable people and giving them a voice. As your representative, I will use those skills to advocate for a better deal for the people of Firhouse-Bohernabreena.  

I have campaigned tirelessly for social justice and inclusion and will continue to do so. Through my work with Minister Katherine Zappone, I have provided help to people in Firhouse-Bohernabreena and elsewhere, in crucial areas such as housing, childcare and advocating for reduced waiting lists for early intervention services.

Having spent the past few years knocking on doors in Firhouse-Bohernabreena, I know that many of you feel that you pay and pay but get very little in return. My promise to you is to fight for sensible and sustainable planning; safer communities; public services that work for you and a clean environment in which to live.
