Alberts Jamaican Soccer Field Fund

Thank you for taking the time to consider donating. I am Albert Martin and have been involved in soccer all my life. I currently coach youth soccer in the Chicago area. I recently took a mission trip to Jamaica with my church. We worked in the parish of Hanover in the community of Lookout, not to far from Montego Bay. It was an unbelievable experince. I did not know what projects we would be working on before the trip. Amongst other things, I was able to be involved in a soccer field project! This is amazing! I,along with others in our group, was able to help start the project, and have made a connection with the person in charge. Brother Al is a community leader with the passion to provide for the kids and people of Lookout. This project is close to his heart and he needs help! With the completion of this project, he will be able to provide an opportunity for the soccer players in his community that enjoy playing the game they love on a field full of grass and not rocks. A lined and lighted field that would host 3v3 and 6v6 league games. Money is the obvious need, but I told Brother Al, I can get it done. If the game of soccer has impacted your life in any way, your donation to a project like this would be most gratifying! The money raised will be used to fund the project and keep it running for years to come. Equipment needed includes lights, goals, a lawn mower, soccer balls, soccer gear, lumber to build a "clubhouse", a lining machine, uniforms, labor costs and SHOES! Most of  the kids currently play in their bare feet! Did I mention the field is full of rocks! Funds will be used as soon as the first $1000 is raised. The first purchase will be the lights. I will then keep in constant contact with Brother Al and ship equipment as needed. Being able to give back to the game has always been a big part of my life. Of all the programs I have been involved in, this opportunity is by far the most gratifying for me. This community needs our help. Please join me in raising the funds for this project.
