Alisa's Run for School Board

Not long ago, many different people tagged me on a Facebook post about getting people to run for school board. My first thought was, "No, not me." But, upon further consideration, I realized that I am uniquely qualified for this role.
For one, I come from a long line of people who all attended public schools, including my father and grandparents who attended school in one-room school houses out on a prarie.
Two, I'm a good listener who keeps an open mind and believes that all thoughts and opinions are welcome.
Three, I'm a good problem solver.
But most important is this: I believe in our schools, and I believe all of our kids learn best in safe, welcoming spaces. I stand up for all of our children, including the most vulnerable ones.
